Harare, Zimbabwe, 29 October 2012. The first workshop on Basic Health Research Ethics, organized by PHP Africa and UNICRI with the support of EDCTP was held in Harare, Zimbabwe from 29 to 31 October at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Harare, Zimbabwe.
A total of 36 participants drawn from the Zimbabwe Forum of Research Institutions (ZIMFRI) attended. Research scientists came from the University of Zimbabwe, Africa University, Albino Charity Organization of Zimbabwe, Chinhoyi University of Technology, City of Harare Department of Health, PHPAfrica, Medical Research Council of Zimbabwe, Great Zimbabwe University and Midlands State University. An overview of the workshop proceedings is available on the PHPAfrica web site. An Advanced Health Research Ethics workshop is envisaged to take place in 2013.
